"The morning was interesting. We talked to two scientists, a man
and a woman. They were isolating cells, DNA and RNA. I
really liked it. We are looking forward to the second part of the the trip."
Jazmin Corrales

Lynn Crandall took the opportunity to connect the work of the genetic scientists to the students and the theme of creating a sustainable future.

Lynn said to the students, "Each person is like a cell, an individual cell. How well each cell finds balance and harmony determines the health and well being of all of humanity, and in reality the entire world.

Nice Work Lynn!

Development still in progress.

Les Hamasaki designer of the solar air conditioning and heating units at Debs Park.

"I like it when Mr. Hamasaki talked about the future; because we are the future."
Jimmy Lor

"If we understand how nature survives and imitate this as closely as we can, we are creating a sustainable future. Right now we have the possibly of going into deepest Africa or India,or even an island with no water, and we can distill water, refrigerate fish, dry grain, and communicate with the outside world––without endangering the environment. Creating this environment will be where many of the jobs of the future lie. How do you see yourself in this future, how can you combine your interests with this vision?"

Very inspiring Les. I loved the way you found the students' dreams and wove them into creating a sustainable future.

Judy Leventhal, Mask Making.

"I liked it when Judy talked about all the occupations which use art.
'Cause it's hard to think about this on your own."
